  • What about dental insurance?

We are pleased to help you complete and submit your insurance forms as a service to you, provided you supply us with all the necessary information we will require to help you. If you provide us a current copy of your policy, we are also often help you interpret it.

Please be advised, though, that we will not “treat your insurance plan”; we will treat you, and address your individual needs. The treatment plans we create will be co-developed with you, and with the best interests of your health in mind.

  • What costs will my insurance company cover?

Benefits change from time to time, so it’s important to make sure you know what your plan covers. As a result, we can only provide you with an estimate of your out of pocket costs of your treatment.

  • What happens when my insurance company requests further information?

We are happy to provide x-rays, photos, models, and supporting clinical/opinion letters if requested by your insurance provider, in order to ensure that you are reimbursed the amount you are entitled to under the terms of your contract with your insurance provider.

  • My insurance company didn’t pay for my treatment – now what?

It is important for you to understand that your coverage is a legal contract between you and your insurance company. Our office is not, and cannot be a part of this legal contract.

We are more than happy to act as your advocate, and to what supply supporting documentation we are able for your treatment, within Canadian privacy law. Your workplace human resources department is the best resource to help you sort this out. We are not able to access much information about your insurance due to Canada's privacy acts.

  • What is the best way to budget for my treatment?

We’re happy to put together a detailed treatment plan with the associated expected costs clearly outlined so that you can budget for each appointment accordingly.

We can also rank treatments so that you can deal with the most pressing treatments right away, and deal with the not-so-pressing treatments over time.

However, please note that it is not always possible to diagnose and plan for every situation. There are times when we really don’t know what we’re getting into until we are in the process, especially with complex problems. We do our best to estimate as closely as possible, but unforeseen circumstances and situations can occur.

  • What payment options are available to me?

We require payment in full at the time of your treatment. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Interac (Debit).

  • Do you offer a payment plan?

While we cannot offer a payment plan at this time, we can provide you with a detailed estimate of the work required, which can help you secure a loan from your bank. You and your loan officer can work out a re-payment plan that will best suit your budget. Currently, we can also offer you access to loans for your dental work through CIBC.

  • My family is in financial need – do you offer any type of assistance?

If you are concerned about treatment costs, please contact us directly – every family/individual situation is unique. We will do our best to help out and are always willing to accept pre-payments. Pre-payments are a smart way to build up credit so that you can get work done in a timely manner without incurring additional charges or taking out loans.
