A Whole Body Approach to Dental Care

It’s amazing what your mouth can say about your entire body. This is just one of the many reasons that, at Orijin Integrated Dentistry, we take a patient-focused approach to dentistry in Southwest Calgary.

We believe that you cannot separate one part of the body from the whole – everything is connected.

So, before we treat your mouth, we take a step back and look at what is happening within the rest of your body. Starting from the top of your head right down to the tips of your toes, we’ll look at your physiology, biochemistry and lifestyle, all with the goal of identifying the connections between your mind, body, spirit, and smile.

The Orijin "Less is MORE" Approach

We’ll do our best to identify the causes of your dental problems, often by collaborating with your other healthcare practitioners (for instance, physicians, naturopaths, chiropractors or nutritionists) to focus on your overall health and healing.

Sometimes, this consultation with your other health care professionals can go a long way in ensuring that we can give you the most appropriate dental care because it means that none of your treatments will be duplicated, or interfere with one another.

We’ll talk about all your options, from prevention through to full reconstruction, and develop a plan to suit your unique needs.

East Meets West

    - Deng Xiaoping

At Orijin Integrated Dentistry, we take a team approach and draw from the experiences of others, often consulting with one another to develop treatment plans for our patients.

In addition to our general dental services, we also promote deep breathing techniques to help calm patients who are afraid of the dentist. We have one goal in mind, to connect your mind, body, spirit and smile.

Our whole body philosophy of treatment means that we treat the cause of the problem, not just the symptom.

We do this by applying a combination of western and with eastern medicine philosophies and techniques. We combine dentistry with a variety of other approaches, to improve your oral health as well as your overall well being.

A Philosophy of Care & Compassion

At Orijin Integrated Dentistry, we treat each of our patients with "Metta" – which means “unconditional loving-kindness”.

We're proud and honoured to serve the members of our community, and we believe that the cornerstone of our dental practice is the trusting relationship we've built with our amazing patients, who keep us smiling every day.

The Orijin Integrated Dentistry team can help you meet your oral health goals with our dental services.
